Copenhagen, 17 February 2026 — Shipshave AS has been welcomed as a new supplier by Marcas, part of V.Group, one of the world’s leading ship management and marine services providers.

Shipshave’s innovative In-Transit Cleaning of Hulls (ITCH) system enables vessel crews to remove early-stage biofouling while at sea using a portable, semi-autonomous hull cleaning robot operated from the ship’s deck. The solution is designed to remove early-stage fouling without damaging hull coatings, helping vessel owners and operators maintain efficient vessel performance while remaining environmentally compliant.

The collaboration represents a strong fit with Marcas’ supplier network, which delivers cost savings to members and owners of V.Group-managed vessels through negotiated supplier agreements. By enabling cleaning during normal vessel operations, Shipshave ITCH provides a simple and cost-effective approach to proactive hull maintenance.

Shipshave ITCH will complement V.Group’s growing portfolio of sustainability solutions following its acquisition of maritime fuel efficiency and decarbonisation partner Njord. The offering also complements propeller polishing and hull cleaning solutions supported by SeaTec, V.Group’s technical services provider, contributing to an integrated range of hull maintenance services.

The partnership was unveiled at the World Maritime Forum in Copenhagen on 17 February by Shipshave CEO Kim Diederichsen and V.Group Procurement Director Per Kristensen.

Martin Cunningham, Managing Director of Marcas, said:

“We’re delighted to welcome Shipshave into the Marcas family. As a pioneering service for vessels, Shipshave shares the same commitment to sustainability at sea as Marcas and V.Group. We look forward to making this service available to our customers so that they can benefit from more efficient vessel performance through proactive care, whilst also adhering to environmental regulations.”
