Manufacturing Operations Manager

We are looking for an Operations Manager who can take responsibility for the planning, sourcing, production and support of our products in collaboration with our sales department and R&D team.

The Role

As Operations Manager, you are responsible for the timely delivery and support of our novel hull cleaning products. Currently this is a single product with multiple variants but will expand in the future to cover several products.

You are a key role within our organization with a wide breadth of responsibilities to cover all aspects of producing, delivering and supporting a finished product for our customers. This includes job aspects covering supply chain, manufacturing planning, manufacturing processes, quality, and customer support.

As the first manufacturing specific employee, you have a key role in formulating and implementing manufacturing strategies, processes, and required resources in close coordination with company management.


  • Material requirement planning in coordination with sales and business objectives to ensure timely delivery of our products.
  • Manage supply chain and develop key suppliers including negotiations.
  • Production planning and execution including resource requirements.
  • Identify, anticipate and manage manufacturing, product and supply chain risks.
  • Analyze and provide solutions to manufacturing challenges or problems.
  • Oversee post-sales customer support throughout the product use with support from R&D.
  • Champion development and implementation of business processes within the manufacturing, supply chain, quality and support areas.
  • Develop competencies and technical solutions to implement and improve new or existing processes.

Qualifications and experience:

  • Good technical understanding with minimum Bachelors level degree in engineering, or related discipline.
  • 3+ years of manufacturing experience within a production environment of integrated mechanical, electrical and software systems.
  • Organized with excellent attention to detail while matching product quality and documentation with the needs of the company.
  • Good understanding of ERP and business systems.  Experience with Odoo and JIRA is a plus.
  • Ability to manage logistics of all aspects of supply chain from product development to the shipment of finished goods.
  • Good in English, both verbal and in writing.  English is the general business language and used for all technical documentation and communication.


  • Basic CAD modelling experience.
  • Basic understanding of electronics manufacturing process with embedded systems.
  • Business system configuration and administration within the manufacturing domain.
  • Experience with small to medium scale manufacturing of electro-mechanical products.

  • Ability to handle multiple simultaneous projects within a small company environment.
  • Hands-on with good practical skills.
  • Communicate in clear and structured manner.
